The England midfielder has three goals this season under new boss José Mourinho, and formal steps are still pending.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham, 23, has reached an agreement to extend his Real Madrid contract until 2031, according to Spanish newspaper AS, as cited by BBC Sport.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano is more cautious. Citing Real Madrid insider José Félix Díaz, his report describes the deal as a "Verbal agreement in place, formal steps yet to happen", with Bellingham next in line for a new contract after two other players.
Bellingham has been a regular under the new Real Madrid boss, José Mourinho. He has featured from the start in nine of the club's 10 fixtures across La Liga and the Champions League this season, and has three goals to his name.
Under Mourinho, Bellingham has been given a high degree of positional freedom, often operating in the pockets of space behind teammate Kylian Mbappé. That role lets him use his vision and late runs into the penalty area, while his defensive work keeps him central to the team's structure.
The road to the deal was not smooth. During the previous season, Bellingham had persistent shoulder problems that eventually needed surgery. He put off the operation to stay available during a critical run of fixtures, a decision that affected his rhythm but earned him respect from the coaching staff.
The agreed Real Madrid contract term runs until June 30, 2031.
