A proposal to change Nigeria’s name to the UNITED AFRICAN REPUBLIC was submitted by Adeleye jokotaye a tax consultant.
The House of Representatives’ Special Committee on Constitution Review has received the proposal.
“At this crossroads in our history, it is mandatory that we change our name to reflect a new beginning which will be ushered in with a new constitution,”
he said this not minding how flora lugard will feel.
Nigerians who felt it was misplaced priorities had these to say:
