Already enjoying a career-high year, thanks to the mind-blowing trajectory of Wizkid’s “Essence” which eventually earned a remix with Justin Bieber, add the Drake CLB feature on “Fountain” and we can say Tems is a star in the making. She adds another feather to the colourful hat by letting out her second EP titled If Orange Was A Place.
Tems feels the constant urge to express her boggling mind state, expressing her feelings of just wanting to be at peace and reconciling the thoughts in her head with the reality she is experiencing, this she did without leaving a stone unturned on her sophomore EP—If Orange Was A Place.
American R&B soulful serenader, Brent Faiyaz is the only featured artiste on Tems’ introspectively tranquil EP; Ghanaian-born record producer, Guilty Beatz, handles the instruments, producing calm instrumentals via the keyboard, trumpet and light-beat of the drum.
If Orange Was A Place contains 5 tracks in total with the Apple Music edition adding a sixth track, a video actually in which Tems gets reflective, giving details of her come-up on the Nigerian music scene and the huddles she scaled to get to her present position. The mini-documentary is entitled: “Up Next: Tems”.
The EP is available for downloads and streaming on all music platforms. Go spin it!
