PSG will be without Brazilian forward Neymar in their Champions League round of 16 second leg tie at Bayern Munich this week, according to manager Christophe Galtier.
Neymar was stretchered off the field after suffering an ankle injury halfway through PSG’s 4-3 comeback victory over Lille last month.
His rehabilitation would take two to three weeks based on the scans, which showed that the ligaments were injured.
Galtier responded, “No, I guess he is out against Bayern,” when asked if the Brazil international will play in Wednesday’s European match at a news conference.
Neymar underwent extensive medical care and rehabilitation in an effort to be healthy for the Bayern match on Wednesday in Munich.
PSG face an uphill task to reach the next round of the Champions League knockout stages after falling to a 1-0 home defeat to Bayern Munich in the first leg.
The 31-year-old missed PSG’s 3-0 victory at Marseille last Sunday and will not play either against Nantes on Saturday in Ligue 1.
