The couple filed jointly on Friday, Oct. 30, with no children, in what a source describes as a mutual decision.
Actress Margaret Qualley and Grammy-winning producer Jack Antonoff, frontman of the band Bleachers, have filed for divorce after nearly three years of marriage. Billboard reports the filing, made on Friday, Oct. 30, based on court records.
A source close to the pair told People that the divorce filing is "a mutual decision." The source said the couple filed together: "Jack and Margaret are filing for divorce jointly." The source added: "They share a deep affinity and love for one another, and though their romantic partnership is ending, they will absolutely be lifelong friends."
The filing describes the split as an "uncontested joint divorce," Rolling Stone reports, and the couple had no children.
People broke the news of the split on July 8, and Qualley's representative confirmed the breakup on July 10. They began dating in 2021, and their wedding took place in August 2023. In a statement at the time, the representative said: "The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues."
Bleachers released the album Everyone for Ten Minutes in May, and several of its songs are about the relationship. Earlier in October, Antonoff told The Guardian that he had initially been worried about performing those songs on tour. Since then, he has found it has been good to do so: "It's actually been really beautiful," he said of performing them.
Antonoff went on to lay out his reasoning for performing the tracks:
"I would rather live through something publicly than even escape it privately."
At a September concert, a fan asked him to play "Let's Get Married," a 2017 song. Antonoff quipped, "Read the news, brother."
In August 2025, Antonoff released the soundtrack to Ethan Coen's dark comedy Honey Don't!, which co-starred Qualley. Qualley featured on the record under Lace Manhattan, her musical alter ego.
In 2024, Qualley told Rolling Stone that she saw the video for "Tiny Moves", which she choreographed and co-directed, as a "love letter" to Antonoff. "I like doing everything with Jack," she said at the time.
Rolling Stone reports that a settlement agreement is still pending and that a judge needed to review everything.
