The notices give recipients seven days to remove disputed content or face claims of N50 million in damages each.
Nollywood actress and businesswoman Lizzy Anjorin, whose full name is Dr Lizzy Anjorin-Lawal, has sent cease-and-desist notices to more than 100 bloggers, vloggers, YouTubers and social media figures, accusing them of defamation, libel and cyberbullying. The notices are dated October 3, 2026, and the list includes fellow actress Iyabo Ojo and her daughter, Priscilla Ojo.
Her lawyers, O.A.U. Enahoro, Bayo Akinlade and A.U.E. Ogboi, sent the notices on her behalf. They accused the recipients of publishing negative content involving Anjorin, her businesses and her family. The lawyers say the posts were used to draw attention and make money, while holding the actress up to ridicule and possibly harming her reputation and business interests.
Those named include the blogs and channels Gistlover, Amebohotgist, PauseandponderTV, Alujo TV, Alaroye TV, TVCNewsNg, Miss Debby TV and Germany Boss Lady TV. Individuals on the list include actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Izzy Ogbeide, Esabod Tokunbo Aboderin, Akeem Akintola Olalekan Taoreed, Olu Olowogemo Harejan, Adewunmi Fatai and Alvin Odibo, along with Olabanji Farms and several other online commentators.
The lawyers also alleged that some recipients made criminal allegations against Anjorin during live broadcasts, without any police report or court judgment to support them. They said the publications could undermine public confidence in her businesses.
Recipients have seven days to comply. Every disputed post, video, live broadcast, clip and repost has to come down. They must also publish a public retraction and apology with the same prominence as the original material, and give a written undertaking that they will not repeat the conduct.
If they do not, the lawyers warned, Anjorin could seek N50 million in damages from each affected individual or platform. They also threatened a permanent injunction against further publication, recovery of litigation costs, and a petition to security agencies to investigate and consider prosecution.
According to the notices, some recipients were contacted through Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, as well as by email and registered delivery.
These are claims made by Anjorin's lawyers, and no court has ruled on them.
As of filing, Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo and the other named parties had not publicly responded to the notices.
