Song of the summer? Certified! Across boarders and charting? Obviously! That has been the story of the eleventh track off of Wizkid’s fourth studio-album — Essence — especially since he care package media run which had the song played by top industry powerhouses and influencers.
Just two days ago, Justin Bieber’s performance of “Freedom” surfaced on the internet which drew a lot of comparisons to Wizkid for some obvious reasons. A day ago, Wizkid via Instagram Story revealed he and the Canadian music guru had a song locked in the vaults before unveiling it to be the remix to Essence featuring Tems.
The remix is pretty much the same as the original version but with additional vocals from Justin Bieber on the third verse while JB also sang the last two chorus melodiously just like Tems did on the original version.
Justin verse fits in just fine with the theme of the song, voicing his love towards his lover. Essence remix will be the last track on the deluxe version for “Made In Lagos”.
