Fan favorite volleyball anime, Haikyu, is returning soon with two new films. With the first film getting a new teaser trailer and a release date, Although fans of hit sports anime initially expected the show to conclude with a fifth season, The Haikyu! anime official website has revealed that the series will conclude with a two-part movie instead. And that these films will be a continuation of the fourth season.
The website also revealed that these movies, which will adapt the final arc of the manga, are collectively titled “Haikyuu! Final.” Furthermore, Production I.G. is animating the movies.
In the initial announcement, the website revealed details about the first film, including its plot details, title, and logo. The first film’s title is Haikyu! Gomisuteba no Kessen (The Dumpster Battle) This title is from the 294th chapter of the manga. Its English title is Haikyu! THE MOVIE: A Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump.
Also, per the Haikyu! Website: the first movie will cover the highly anticipated match between the Nekoma and Karasuno teams.
Fans have now gotten a new trailer and a release date for the first of the two-part films Haikyu! at Haikyu! Fest 2023. The trailer revealed that the film will debut on February 16, 2024. You can watch the new trailer below:
Haikyu!! is a long-running anime based on Haruichi Furudate’s manga. Which ended in 2020 after 405 chapters. The first season premiered in 2014 and has gained a devoted following throughout the years.
