Successful applicants can get up to 100 per cent off TS Academy tuition, and most courses are beginner-friendly.
Nigerian music producer and founder of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, has unveiled a scholarship covering up to 100 per cent of TS Academy tuition for young people who want technology and digital skills. He announced the Don Jazzy 2027 Tech Scholarship on Monday, October 26, 2026, in a video shared on his X page, saying he was partnering with the academy on the initiative.
Subjects on the list range from data analytics and cybersecurity to AI and automation, digital marketing, product design, content creation and software development. Others on the list include Data Science, Virtual Assistance and DevOps Engineering.
According to the programme's website, most courses are beginner-friendly, so applicants do not need previous experience in technology. The programme also offers practical training, mentorship, internship and job placement support. According to TS Academy, the American Council of Training & Development has accredited it.
Per the producer, beneficiaries stand to get up to ₦447,000 off tuition, plus a further cut on application fees. The scholarship does not necessarily cover every expense. Recipients still pay an application fee, though at a discount.
Fifty laptops are available for selected beneficiaries, and data support is also on offer. Neither is guaranteed. Applicants who need them must say so in the form, and the academy says help depends on eligibility, genuine need and available resources.
In the video, Don Jazzy referred to people who ask him for money for travel, hair or club outings, and questioned whether that was why they approached him. He then urged Nigerians to prioritise education and useful skills.
Don Jazzy's message in the video was about learning:
"Education is key," he said.
Social media users responded to the announcement. One user, @sprcialgigi, wrote: "Thank you Supremos for this opportunity I just applied Hopefully I get a laptop too"
To apply, go to the programme's website, or use the link in Don Jazzy's social media bio, and open the application form. Applicants choose a course, say whether they need a laptop or data, and submit. The academy reviews applications to decide eligibility.
Applications for the 2027 intake are open, according to the programme's website, with limited slots. Successful applicants will receive information on their awards and next steps, and must pay the discounted application fee to complete enrolment. Applicants should watch the email addresses and phone numbers in their forms for updates on their application status.
