England and Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi, 19, was arrested on suspicion of rape after a model he met online called the police and said she was raped in his apartment in Battersea. Callum Hudson-Odoi was arrested early Sunday morning. An ambulance was also at the scene. The 19-year-old was arrested and taken into police custody before releasing on bail. When asked about the allegations by MailOnline, Hudson-Odoi’s lawyer said he spoke on behalf of the player: ‘He says he’s innocent. That’s all you need to know. He’s innocent, he hasn’t done anything wrong. We’ve got no other comment to make.’
A police spokesman said: ‘An unwell woman’s complaint was called to the Police and London Ambulance Service at 03:53hrs on Sunday, May 17. ‘A woman confirmed having been assaulted while emergency services were attending.

He was released from custody and bailed for return by mid-June on a deadline.’ On Sunday, police returned to the property of Hudson-Odoi to begin their inquiries into the matter. Neighbors of the 19-year-old told The Sun that his girlfriend was ‘very beautiful’ until the property was ‘crawling with the cops.’ The article says that the Chelsea star is said to have asked the woman to come to his property wearing lingerie and that the two had previously exchanged flirtatious messages. Chelsea was asked by Sportsmail for comment, but reports of Hudson-Odoi ‘s detention leaked back to players and staff at the Stamford Bridge club on Sunday afternoon. Hudson-Odoi was one of the first footballers in the United Kingdom to announce that he had to be diagnosed with COVID-19 in March, but is expected to return to group training by the end of the week if his results require him.
