Bella Shmurda is back with a new song! He boldly declares himself the New Born Fela. Why? He answers that next, “I be the new born Fela / Storyteller, battery charger”, probably in relation to the many tales the late great Fela Anikulapo-Kuti narrated in his songs and the vim in which he used in telling them and fighting for human rights.
Aside from those two lines stated above, there is not any comparison or relation between Bella Shmurda to Fela but careful listening to the lyrics of New Born Fela points out three (3) things about the singer—{1) his dedication to his craft (music), (2) desire to keep enjoying the good life and (3) his unconditional love for his girl.
The plush production complements the straightforward lyrics which in turn match Bella Shmurda’s detectable vocals. New Born Fela is a promotional single by Bella Shmurda for his upcoming debut album—“Hypertension”—set for a release date later this year.
