Bayern try to tempt Olise with a deal to 2032 as his camp asks for a release clause

Bayern are reportedly offering Michael Olise a new contract to 2032, but his camp wants a release clause before signing.

Sky reports a contract that would make Olise Bayern's top earner, but the player's side will only sign with an exit route guaranteed.

Bayern Munich are trying to tempt Michael Olise with a new contract until 2032, according to Sky. If he signs next summer, the deal would make the France international the club's outright top earner. He currently earns a reported 14 million euros a year.

The player's camp has not yet moved to extend. Adviser Glen Tweneboah leads it, and so far it has made no moves to suggest a longer stay. Goal reports that Olise would only sign if he were guaranteed a release clause. He had one at Crystal Palace, which Bayern activated in summer 2024 for 53 million euros. His current contract has none, as sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed. Bayern no longer reject release clauses on principle, and Harry Kane also had such an exit route.

Kane is close to extending his own deal until 2029, and Sky reported a breakthrough in those talks. Once that is wrapped up, talks with Olise are expected to speed up, Sport Bild reported.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told German broadcaster ran that both Olise and Kane want to stay at Bayern for a long time yet. The 71-year-old, who still carries major influence at the club, said:

"I hope, and I am also very confident, that Harry will extend his contract soon. And that Michael will be next. I would like him to stay at Bayern for a long time yet."

Sky reports that Real Madrid observers now believe Olise will extend in Munich, and Liverpool are also said to be keen. TEAMtalk's sources say Olise is very settled in Germany and not looking to return to England. Real Madrid and Barcelona are both firmly in the picture, though, and have told his camp they would move if the chance comes.

ITK Space, which focuses on German-centric news, posted on X on October 7 that Olise's representatives have been in contact "behind the scenes with three clubs, namely Liverpool Football Club, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid". The same post said Manchester City approached his camp months ago and were told the feeling was not mutual. Yahoo Sports says the claim came from ITK Space, a source that warrants caution.

Goal suggests a fixed fee above 200 million euros is not far-fetched, though what Olise's camp would want remains open to speculation.

A final decision still appears some way off. In September, Eberl gave the likely timeline to Sport Bild: "By next summer, we should know whether there is a tendency from his side towards an extension or not."
