The couple posted new photos with a countdown caption, and Zlatan has offered five cows to Nigerians hosting genuine ceremonies.
Zlatan Ibile, a singer from Nigeria, and his partner Davita Lamai have posted affectionate pre-wedding photos while counting down to the ceremony on October 24, 2026. In a joint social media post, the couple captioned the photos "Let the countdown begin," and celebrities including Warri Pikin, Peter Okoye, Adewale Adeleke, Tacha, Cute Abiola and Phyna sent congratulatory messages.
The photos came days after the couple announced their wedding date in a video that gave fans a glimpse of their plans for the big day.
Davita has recently spoken about how their relationship began. According to her, Zlatan was too shy to ask for her phone number himself, so he sent someone to get her contact instead.
Zlatan has also spoken warmly about his bride. In a recent interview he described her as the ideal partner for him and said God, aware that he did not have the strength to deal with some things, brought Davita into his life.
The couple have already married legally, in a private court ceremony earlier this year attended by family members and close loved ones. The October 24 celebration is their chance to mark the union with family, friends and well-wishers.
The wedding has also brought a giveaway. Legit.ng reports that Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface gave the couple three cows as a wedding gift. On October 15, Zlatan, the Zanku Records founder, announced on X that he would give five cows from the gifts he received from his friends to people with real ceremonies. "If you have a REAL wedding, burial ceremony, or naming ceremony happening this weekend, next weekend, or even next month, I want to give out 5 COWS from the gift I received from my friends!" he wrote.
Applicants must submit solid, verifiable evidence of their event, including the date and venue. Zlatan warned against AI-generated flyers and said he would personally review the comments under the post.
