Paramount+ Cancels ICarly’ Reboot Canceled After Three Seasons

According to a Variety report Paramount+ has canceled its iCarly reboot after three seasons.

A spokesperson for the streaming service broke the news on Wednesday. He said: “The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together. We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity and talent.”

The reboot which is set 10 years after the events of the original show debuted in 2020. It followed an adult Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove), as she reunited with longtime friend and partner, Freddie (Nathan Kress) and her brother Spencer (Jerry Trainer). They, along with some new friends, attempt to revive her popular web show.

The reboot introduced Laci Mosley as Carly’s new friend, Harper, and Jaidyn Triplett, as Freddie’s step daughter Millicent. Both of them quickly became fan favorites.

While the Icarly reboot only received three seasons. The original show lasted for six seasons which aired from 2007 to 2012. And amounted to a total of 97 episodes. In addition, Jay Kogen, Ali Schoute and Miranda Cosgrove executive produced the reboot. It was also produced by Awesomeness and Nickelodeon Studios.
