Oladipo Eso, famous for self-conscious rap bars and the “but you knew that” sound tag, the veteran rapper better addressed by his professional name, LadiPoe, releases his second project but debut EP titled Providence, filled with 6 songs featuring Rema, Fireboy DML and Amaarae.
LadiPoe starts off with jazz-infused “LOTR II”, a punchline and worplay heavy song, using metaphors to depict his current mindstate, sounding off that he is only concerned about his business. Throughout the EP, LadiPoe uses soft toned productions as compared to the hard hitting rap beats, the hip-hop genre as grown to be fond of.
Although Providence is more of an introspective project, LadiPoe still dives into topics pertaining to relationships and just having fun generally, “Afro Jigga” featuring Rema and “Love Essential” prove that; AndreVibez, London, Ozedikus amongst others are producers who worked with the rapper on this project. “Running” with Fireboy DML served as the promotional lead single to Providence, ot was released last week Friday.
