Manchester United will play Real Betis in the Europa League last 16 after overcoming Barcelona, while Arsenal face Sporting Lisbon.
United beat the La Liga leaders 2-1 at Old Trafford on Thursday to seal a 4-3 aggregate win in the play-off tie.
As the group winners, Arsenal will host the second leg of their match at home, while Manchester United will welcome Betis at Old Trafford.
The matches for the Europa League’s round of 16 will happen on March 9 and 16.
Premier League leaders Arsenal won Group A with five victories out of their six games, avoiding the knockout stage play-offs.
Fourth-placed Sporting of Portugal’s top division defeated third-placed Midtjylland of Denmark 5-1 in their Champions League play-off match.
Real Betis, managed by Manuel Pellegrini, finished the Europa League group stage with the best record in the competition, winning five and losing one. They are currently fifth in La Liga.
Sevilla, a six-time champion, will take on Fenerbahce in another match, while Jose Mourinho’s Roma will take on Real Sociedad, the group winners from Manchester United.
Clubs from the same association were not permitted to be drawn against one another, hence the eight clubs that won their respective Europa League group matches were paired against the eight clubs that advanced to the knockout phase play-off matches.
