Same lyrics, different instrumentals is the case as Mauritanian disc jockey Dj Yo! makes a remix to one of 2021’s brightest new talents, AV’s immediate smash-hit single Big Thug Boys changing the upbeat instrumental to a midtempo BPM, using piano and more of Afrobeat-type drums to bring the remix to life.
AV’s cadence was also dumbed down to accommodate the slower pace of Dj Yo!’s remix but one thing remains constant—the beautiful lyrics that made listeners fall in love in the first place. Unlike the Hip-Hop-esque BPM of the original, this remix takes inspiration from Pop and Dance production, Dj Yo! showing once again why he is so much revered in the music hemisphere.
Dj Yo! is popularly knowm for being a starting force in the CKay’s “Love Nwantiti” 2021 global domination, this might just be the start of something amazing for AV too.
