Transfer business could take a different dimension this summer with many clubs expected to be cautious due to the financial implications of football being suspended for months. The situation will put the transfer business of some football clubs hanging on the balance.
This situation could play a part for Chelsea and Manchester United in their pursuit of Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, according to Goal.
Although it is being reported that Sancho wants a Premier League move and will not consider any new contract offer in Germany but there are doubts that any club will be able to match his £100 million asking price in the midst of the crisis.
If Dortmund fails to lower their asking price for Sancho, then Chelsea will consider a move for Nigeria international winger Samuel Chukwueze, according to reports.
Chukwueze is also on the radar of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal as well as clubs in Spain.
The 21-year old Villarreal player would be a cheaper alternative for Sancho and might have to be looked at as an option.
