CDQ puts out fourth album—”Vibes and Lifestyle”

Woos Woos Wobi street general, CDQ puts out his fourth project titled “Vibes and Lifestyle” featuring Wande Coal, frequent collaborator, record producer, Masterkraft, newcomer Jaywillz, Cross IV, WETLY, Hameen and veteran Tanzanian singer, Ben Pol. Vibes and Lifestyle hosts a variety of sounds and productions including trap, conventional rap, emo-rap, Amapiano amongst others.

On the intro track (“Who is Cdq”), CDQ gets really gritty and personal, putting his pains and struggles on paper whilst using his strong toned voice to air his emotions, bringing listeners close to heart, showing vulnerability and telling the tales of how how the untimely passing of his father would change his life for the worst, making him strive for survival under the meanest of conditions. Thankfully he is up now and that is the main theme of his latest LP.

Iskabar, Wande Coal is the star guest and the only top profiled Nigerian vocalist to appear on Vibes and Lifestyle, three different times at that, initially on the second track—”Keep on Rocking, then later on “Addicted” and “Kogbede”, the sixrh and twelfth track respectively; CDQ subject matter changes from being a victor to wanting all the ladies attention, now that money is a constant but above all, he managed to stay joyous on over 90% of the 16-track album, doing so in his signature indigenous language—Yoruba, although switching it intermittently on occasions to English or the dilute Nigerian-Pidgin version.

CDQ showed no sign of slowing down yet, an already well-polished veteran with street cred to show for it, he comes on firing on all cylinders with a better refined structure and that he executed to the best of his ability on Vibes and Lifestyle.
