The July 26 2019 studio album by Burna Boy, African Giant is now certified Gold in the United Kingdom for selling 100,000 units, thus setting a new record for an African album in the British Record Industry Trusts Show (BRITS) database by becoming the first album by an African artiste to have such certification in the UK.
Dangote, Killin Dem, Gum Body, Anybody and On the Low are some of the hit songs on the 19-song tracklist of African Giant, whereas live performance-wise, Secret has grown to become a cult classic, a staple song on Burna Boy’s setlist.
African Giant is regarded as a modern-day classic album by many music critics and lovers from Africa and abroad. Its latest certification by the BRITS further solidifies the claim.
