Boko Haram targeted Garkida community in Adamawa State’s Gombi Local Government Area on Friday. The attackers fired erratic gunshots, according to sources, and engaged in a fire exchange with security operatives and local vigilante according to independent sources from the community.
The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the attack to News Media and reported that police officers and other security officers have been deployed to Gombi to prevent the terrorists from penetrating the town. The spokesman for the command did not give details of the assault as it is yet to be established the time the terrorists carried out the attack.
