Afrobeats star Asake has reportedly entered four recordings for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, across several categories.
GRATITUDE has the widest reach. Reports say the track is under consideration in Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance. If it reaches the final list, Asake would compete in a general-field category and the African music category again.
The album M$NEY is reportedly targeting Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album. JOGODO, his collaboration with Wizkid, is listed for Best African Music Performance. WORSHIP, featuring the French-Algerian DJ and producer DJ Snake, is reportedly entered for Best Dance Pop Recording.
Asake already has two Grammy nominations, both in the Best African Music Performance category. The first came in 2024 for Amapiano, featuring Olamide, at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. The second came in 2025 for MMS, his track with Wizkid off the Lungu Boy album, at the 67th edition. He has yet to win a Grammy.
A submission is not a nomination. The Recording Academy will review entries before voting determines the nominees, and those nominees will be announced on November 16, 2026. The 69th Annual Grammy Awards, also known as the 2027 Grammys, takes place on February 7, 2027, in Los Angeles.
